This 3D 180 VR experience takes you to a Jingle and Woodland Dance performance by Misty and Nathan Solorio and Jennifer Night Bird Miller during Howard County’s Fifth Annual Native American Heritage Month Celebration in Columbia, Maryland on November 4, 2023. Before their performance, Ms. Solorio discusses the background of the Jingle Dance and how her own upbringing was impacted by the Sixties Scoop. Howard County’s Native American Heritage Month Celebrations welcome vendors, artist and performers from across Indian Country, and this year’s event partners included the Howard County Library System, Howard Hughes Foundation, Columbia Association, and Downtown Columbia Partnerships.
